The new HP 3720A Spectrum Display is designedto provide frequency-domaind isplayso f datam easuredusing the HP 3721,A Correlator as a timedomainsignal analyzer. The Spectrum Display performsthe discrete Fourier transform of the Correlatordisplay and presents the result on its ownstorage cathode-ray tube. Axes can be Cartesianor polar, linear or logarithmic. The user can observepower spectra, Bode diagrams, Nyquist diagrams,and many other displays, changing from one to anothersimply by changing the settings of front-panelswitches.Together the Spectrum Display and the Correlator(Fig.1 ) constitutea versatilep, ortable,lo w-costanalysis system for signals in the range dc to 250kHz.
